Linear LED light integrated into the beam of a Breslow louvered pergola

Breslow pergola lighting — in the structure, not strung across it.

Light built into the louvers and beams, dimmable, zoned and on the same control as the roof. Bright over the table when you are eating, low around the edges when you are not.

How We Build It

Integrated Lighting, designed in from the first drawing.

Every one of these is planned with the structure — wired inside the frame, sized to your space, and controlled alongside the roof. That is the difference between an accessory and an afterthought.

Built by Breslow

Real projects, not renderings.

Every photo below is a Breslow installation across New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.

Adding to this page: A dusk shot of the beam lighting on with the louvers half open would sell this page better than anything currently on it.

Accessories are priced with the project, not bolted on after.

Size drives the investment first, then attachment to the house, then what you add. The pergola page publishes the full range — from around $65,000 for a 16 × 20 ft system — and exactly what that figure includes. See what it costs and what you get.

Before You Book

Integrated Lighting — the questions people ask.

Where does the light actually sit?
In the louvers and the beams. Linear LED runs inside the beam so the fixture is barely visible and the light lands on the table and the floor rather than in your eyes.
Can I dim it and zone it?
Yes — that is the point of integrating it. Task light over the table and the grill on one zone, perimeter light on another, both dimmable from the app.
Does it work with my smart-home system?
Yes. It runs on the same control as the louvers and screens, which integrates with most home-automation systems as well as Alexa and Google Home.
What about string lights?
They are a genuinely good inexpensive option and we will tell you if that is all you need. What we build is wired architectural lighting, which is a different thing at a different price.
