Motorized screens — built into the architecture, not bolted on.

Remote-controlled retractable screens that block driving winds, trap heat, and keep bugs out. At Breslow we custom-design the housings and tracks so the motors and hardware disappear into your existing architecture — a seamless screen that looks like it was always there.

Why Motorized Screens

Four reasons homeowners add them to their outdoor space.

Motorized retractable screens convert an open patio, porch, or pergola into a controllable enclosure — usable in conditions where an open space normally isn't. Deploy them when you need them, retract them when you don't.

Benefit 01

Block driving winds, trap heat

Stops gusts from cutting through the space and holds in radiant heat from heaters or a fire feature. Turns a wind-exposed patio into a wind-stopped, heat-retentive room — usable on days the open space isn't.

Benefit 02

Block bugs

Sealed-edge screens keep mosquitos, flies, and pollen out at dusk and through the warm months. No netting, no candles, no compromises on the view — just close the screens and stay outside.

Benefit 03

Highly durable

Engineered for sustained outdoor use across seasons. Marine-grade fabric, aluminum tracks, and weather-rated motors that hold up to driving rain, snow loads, and year-round UV exposure.

Benefit 04

Remote-controlled

Deploy or retract at the touch of a button — wall switch, handheld remote, app, or smart-home integration. No cranks, no manual lifting, no rope-and-pulley. Schedule them to close at sunset if you want.

The Breslow Difference

Custom-concealed motors. Custom-concealed tracks. A seamless screen.

Most motorized screens get bolted onto the outside of an existing structure — exposed motor housings, surface-mounted aluminum tracks, hardware that screams "aftermarket retrofit." At Breslow we custom-design the motor housings and shade tracks into the architecture itself, so the screens disappear into the beams and columns.

The result: when the screens are up, you don't see the hardware. When they're down, the fabric is the only thing in your sightline — no motor box, no exposed track, no compromise on the original design.

Real Installs

Concealed inside the architecture.

Most Breslow motorized screen installs disappear into a custom Azek-wrapped beam or column — you see the structure, you don't see the screen housing. Below: motorized screens integrated into a Hambrook estate pergola and a modern Roslyn, NY install.

Standalone or Integrated

Motorized screens — standalone, or built into your pergola.

We install motorized screens as a standalone retrofit on existing pergolas and porches, or we engineer them into a new custom pergola from the start — concealed tracks and motor housings designed into the build. Free in-home consultation either way.
