About Project
We installed a modern aluminum louvered roof system in Demarest, New Jersey. The client had a patio that was not protected from the sun. The client’s objective in installing the modern aluminum louvered roof system was to have a shade solution that covered enough area to provide sufficient shade. Still, they also wanted the flexibility to allow the sun to come through. They did not want to feel trapped under a fully shaded patio.
The client required rain protection, adjustable shade, and something durable to withstand the elements. With the modern style louvered roof system, they could achieve those desires. This is because the louvered roof system comes equipped with automatic rain sensors that detect rain, automatically closing the roof. It is also manufactured with high-grade extruded aluminum that can withstand 165 mph winds. The adjustable louvers can be rotated 90 degrees, allowing sunlight to be let in with the touch of a button, giving the client full control over their outdoor space.
Before the project began, the site was barren and empty and required footings. We also handled the permitting process.
During the installation, we had to create a wooden Azek pack to connect the patio walkway to the system so there wouldn’t be a large gap between the system and the house. We did this in an aesthetically pleasing way that perfectly matches the house.
The final installation came out perfect with an aesthetic and innovative custom azek gap filler, allowing the client not to see a gap between the system and the walk way entrance above. The space was transformed as the modern, sleek, louvered roof system blended perfectly with the home’s current aesthetic. The client’s table and furniture met their match with a proper place to sit and enjoy a beautiful shaded retreat above them. The client could now use their space to host BBQs with family and friends or simply lounge out regardless of the weather with the beautiful shaded striping effect the system provides.
